Susan J. Gordon

NEWARK: A Celebration of Life Service for Susan J. Gordon, 66, of Newark, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Central Christian Church, 587 Mt. Vernon Rd. Newark, with Rev. Jeff Gill officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Susan, a medical transcriptionist for Mt. Carmel Health Systems, passed away September 27, 2012, at OSU Medical Center. She was born March 14, 1946, in Zanesville, to the late John and Evelyn (Coffman) Schwartz.

Susan was a member of Central Christian Church. She enjoyed genealogy and spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by her children, Mark Gordon of Newark, Brian Gordon of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lisa (Brent) Abel of Newark; sister, Cynthia (Warren) Rarick of Heath; brother, Larry (Paulette) Schwartz of Newark; grandson, Titus R. Abel; several nieces and nephews and dog Emily and cat Rocky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Smith and brother, Dan Schwartz.

Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.
