Kenny LaFollette

Kenna LaFollette, age 66, of Heath, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at his home. He was born August 26, 1946 in Newark, Ohio, to the late Kenneth W. and Olive (Moreford) LaFollette.

 

Kenna graduated from Newark High School and enlisted in the Army. He served his country courageously in Vietnam. He was an excellent auto mechanic and loved driving semi trucks over American highways. Kenna enjoyed having friends over to watch NASCAR races.

 

Ken leaves to cherish his memory his son, Trevor LaFollette of Columbus; grandson, Edward LaFollette of Columbus, step-daughters, Monica Young of Newark and Helene Kelly of Columbus; step-sisters, Kay Jones of Newark and Becky Morrow of Antem, Arizona; mother-in-law, Phyllis Stevens of Newark and special friends Roni and Chuck of Hebron

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Robin Lynn LaFollette on October 16, 2012.

 

According to Ken's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. There will be a private family memorial at a later date.

John Winsch, his physician while under the care of the VA, says "He decided long ago that he would live life on his terms, not those stipulated by doctors. He knew that would result in an early death, and it did. But he did it his way! And he never lied to the doctor just to tell the doc what he wanted to hear."
