Newark: A funeral service for Larry C. Martin will be held at 7pm, on Monday, January 20, 2014, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, with David Hallenbeck officiating.

Friends and family may call from 2-4pm and 5-7pm, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark.

Mr. Martin, age 68, of Newark, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 28, 1945, in Philippi, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Carl Curtis and Metta Loraine (McCray) Martin. He was in the military 24 years, serving in the US Army, National Guard and the US Air Force Reserves. For 43 years he worked at PCA in Newark, retiring in October of 2007. He enjoyed bowling, camping at Apple Valley and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Judith (Findle) Martin, whom he married July 5, 1991; two sons, Bill (Cindy) Martin of Reynoldsburg, Tom (Misty) Martin of Westerville; two step children, Joey Killmeyer of Detroit, Joyce Thomas of Newark; six grandchildren, Paige, Maddie, Sidney Martin, Tyler and Cora Martin and Trevor Thomas; one sister, Sue (Bill) Wiseman of Newark,; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved Schnauzers, Duffy and Sammy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association ; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
