Betty June Neighbarger

St. Petersburg, FL: Betty June Neighbarger, born August 19, 1946 in Clay County, West Virginia, passed away August 22, 2013 after battling Pancreatic Cancer. 

Betty is survived by her daughter, Aleesa Ponce and grandson Jonathan Ponce; her stepdaughter, Anissa Mitchell and grandchildren, Elijah, Isaiah, and Sophia Mitchell; her mother, June Derwacter; sisters, Nancy Miller, Debbie Derwacter; brothers, Ray Derwacter and Kelly Derwacter. 

Betty was an Auxillary member of the Gideons International, and had a career in cosmetology in her earlier years. 

She married Allen Neighbarger, the love of her life, September 9th 1972.

Betty lived a vibrant life despite her 35-year fight with MS. One of her last phrases spoken was "I want to be all I can be as long as I can be". Her final act of love and generosity was to donate her body to medical research. Therefore, a celebration of new life party will be held in her honor. Please contact Aleesa Ponce for details.
