A funeral service for Almeda Rose Nichols, 58, of Heath, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Newark chapel of Henderson, VanAtta & Johnston Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Nichols died September 1, 2004, at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born January 3, 1946 in Newark to the late Ira M. and Martha (Mauller) Jenkins.

Ms. Nichols had been an office worker at Englefield Oil Co., and had also worked at Lowe's as a telephone operator.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Greg) Roulo of Newark and Tricia (Steve) Sherwood of Marysville; two grandchildren, Amanda Baker of Newark and Colin Sherwood of Marysville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers: Harold Jenkins, A. Leon Jenkins, Larry Jenkins, Dale Jenkins, Darrell Jenkins and Ronald Jenkins.
