A memorial service for Roxanna "Roxie" Smith, 58, of Heath, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 N. Fifth St., Newark, with Pastor William Rauch officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Ms. Smith passed away September 8, 2004, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born February 9, 1946, in Newark, to Fred and the late Lucille (Love) Smith.

Roxie previously worked for the Licking County Sheriff's Office and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her father, Fred Smith, of Newark; brother, Gregory (Landa) Smith of Newark; sisters, Deborah (Frank) Hall of Utica, and Pathena (Ron) Lewis of Heath; niece, Cristina (David) Riffle; nephews, Adam Hall, Ryan Smith and Steve Lewis; one aunt, Evelyn Chadwell; one uncle, Thurman "Buzz" Love; and special friends, Diana Hufford, Pat (Ralph) Davis, Mary Billy and Shirley Ferry.

There will be no calling hours observed.
