There will be no funeral service or calling hours for Richard C. Toomey, 56, of Newark, who died May 1, 2002, at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Toomey was born December 27, 1945, in Newark, to Daniel and Pearl (Forte) Toomey. He worked as a laborer for various factories in the area. He was a member of the Protestant faith and a former member of the Moose and Eagles.

He is survived by his son, Todd Toomey of Newark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Bret Spottie of Utica, and Kim and Donald Jurdin of Newark; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Wayne Boley of Newark; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave4 Drive, Newark, is in charge of arrangements.
